you can listening to your favourite songs with a good quality, but I think if you can find a headphone amplifier to use with this headphones, what you will get is the precise focus that lacks on regular MP3, the problem is not about MP3 players cannot drive this headphones, most of them can drive can drive Monster Cable Diesel Vektr easily, but the problem is about a DAC in MP3 is not good enough compare to a headphone amplifier. I think a headphone amplifier around 100-150 USD is good enough to show you a true performance of Monster Cable Diesel Vektr !

If you want to buy RS180,it is on a big discount price @ Amazon with the price of $213 (read the full detail here), and with this discount price, at the moment, RS 180 that is a higher headphones in its series is cheaper than RS 170 ! and with the price of 213$ I have to say it is super cheap with a premium brand headphones like this. So the question is, if you are aiming for RS 170, should you switch for RS 180 ? I don’t know about RS 170, but frankly, I have tried RS 180 (read my review here).

And I have to say with the price of $300 something, it is not worth it for movie watching and gaming, but with the price of $213, that is another story, with the price of $213, if you spend it on a gaming headset, what you’ll get is a wireless surround 5.1 or 7.1 gaming headset that would not be able to match Sennheiser RS 180, Rs 180 may not a dream quality wireless headphones, but it is definitely better than a regular wireless gaming headset. So, if you are thinking to buy RS 170 or any other gaming headset, I have to say RS180 is the best choice at the moment (except you want to use a MIC, this headphones lacks of MIC … peace !). And for a person who think you will buy RS 170 because of surround feature, I have to say forget a virtual surround technology, it is nothing more than a simulated surround sound from stereo channels, it is nothing !

This is ridiculous ! RS 170 is a virtual surround headphones while a higher price RS 180 is a stereo headphones, I want to know why, or RS 180 meant to be a wireless stereo headphones for music listening, while RS 170 is a multimedia headphones for gaming and movie watching (it also comes with the bass enhancer button as well – I want that buttons for RS 180 ! LOL).

Personally, I don’t think this is a big deal since I have an AVR that can simulate a virtual surround and I believe it could be better than a built-in decoder of any headphones, but if you don’t have a surround decoder and will use this headphones as your one and only headphones for music, gaming, and movie, you may need to think carefully. I have tried a virtual surround before, and I have to say, for me, it is not so impressive, basically, a virtual surround created from a stereo sound system and simulates in 5 or 7 channels, or on the other hand, it fakes ! I have found that the stereo system, is a much better system for gaming and movie watching, and with a very close distance from phones to your ears, I don’t think it almost like a surround headphones (except for a true surround, that’s a difference story). So, I still think RS 180 is the best choice.

Perhaps I should not compare Samsung UN46ES8000 to Kinect or Move because this is a feature that allow you to control your TV more naturally, will it make your life easier or finally you will have to buy a traditional universal remote to use with this TV ? I think you will be able to use this voice control channel changing naturally as well as hand gesture for app choosing (that would be useful if you have so many apps installed like IPad’s desktop), and also the face recognition could work if you live with your family and share this 3D HDTV with your family members because Samsung UN46ES8000 will remember each setting of your family member.

So what is my final verdict one this ? I have to say if you can afford it, I think this is a good HDTV that you may want to try, I believe it will make your life easier like they advertise, but if you are in a budget control, I think LG Cinema Screen 47LM8600 is also top of the line 47-inch 3D HDTV with 240 HZ and the wifi internet connectivity.
